APPEARANCE : Compact subtropical flowering shrub. Masses of large rich purple blooms during autumn, opening from pink-red buds.
USE FOR : In groups as a mass display of colour. Small growing variety suited to feature planting and hedges. Ideal size for containers.
PLANTING : A full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Hardy shrub suited to most conditions . Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal.
CARE : Mulch and water well, prune as needed to shape or promote new growth.
